1st Annual New York State Conference on Infancy Save the Date! October 14-16, 2004
Dear Colleagues –
On behalf of the Steering Committee and our supporting organizations, it gives me great pleasure to invite you to the 1st Annual New York State Conference on Infancy, a hallmark of the expanding focus on the beginning of life. Our first year of planning has been an exciting endeavor, combining the talents and interests of a broad group of professionals, building a volunteer coalition and working structure, and producing a state of the art event which promises to be both educational and provocative.
Please join with professionals from multiple disciplines as we kick off the formation of regional infant/toddler coalitions; launch a New York State Better Baby Care Campaign; learn about exciting research findings and promising practices; and celebrate infants, toddlers and their families.
Our event has three main themes:
Conference Objectives
- To convene professionals, program administrators and policy makers for the purpose of:
- learning about research based principles and practices that have demonstrated positive outcomes for infants and their families
- exploring successful cross disciplinary ventures and comprehensive service delivery strategies that illustrate these principles
- stimulating systems change through the development and expansion of collaborative partnerships that support families with infants and toddlers at the local, regional and state level.
