Best Practice Certification Presentation

Throughout New York State, Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (CCR&Rs) are an invaluable link between families, child care providers, and communities. CCR&Rs educate families about high-quality care and help them find it; recruit and train new providers; offer providers technical assistance; and encourage government, business leaders, and the public to support the expansion of high-quality services. In 2006, NYSCCCC began offering every CCR&R in the network an opportunity to earn a credential – known as Best Practice Assured – that signifies that the CCR&R is a high quality, professionally run organization that uses sound business practices.

As of August 1, 2006 there are nine CCR&Rs who are Best Practice Certified. They are:

Capital District Child Care Coordinating Council
Family Enrichment Network, Inc.
Jefferson-Lewis Child Care Project
Child Care Council of Nassau, Inc.
Community Child Care Clearinghouse of Niagara
Catholic Charities of Delaware & Otsego Counties
Child Care Resources of Rockland, Inc.
Steuben Child Care Project
Child Care Council of Suffolk, Inc.

Twenty CCR&Rs are in the certification process.
